Legal Question in Consumer Law in India

Dear Sir,

I am also looking for one suggestion,

I have booked a flat at Crossings republic Ghaziabad, possession date was june2011 but now they are saying that they will give the possession by june2012, its a delay of 12 months, I have already paid 95% money to builder, I have all the papers, agreements, in that it is clearly mentioned that if he would not be able to give possession on time then there is a penalty of rs. 5 per sq. feet and now, I talked to him about penalty he is saying, we will not give any penalty, do whatever you can do, go to consumer court,

I am looking forward for a suggestion here, please suggest, do I need to do anything now or at the time of possession but now I will not leave this just like that only, I want show them what law can do, I am ready to fight & wait for my flat,

please suggest the right step,

Regards,

you may approach a lawyer and file a consumer complaint against the alleged builder.

In such matters, take possession of the apartment first in case completion is likely, but do not sign any documents without consulting YOUR lawyer. After taking possession, approach Consumer Fora. [email protected]
