Legal Question in Consumer Law in India

I own a travel agency where we handle services related to the clients documents , an employee of my office trying to be smart misused a clients passport copy and tried to take a mobile connection .
the employee is caught red handed by us and the connection is not yet activated ??
The client has caught him ? the employee has accepted his theft and the client wants to register a complaint ? What are the consequences faced by the agency i.e me ?
whats the best way to escape from this ? i m not guilty but very tensed ?
