Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Hi All,
I have not paid my credit card bills for last 7 months because of some financial problems and before that i paid regularly for 3 years. Andi want to repay them once i'm financially sound and forthat i need some time .
And recently i received mail from my bank stating that if you do not make the payment you will have to face criminal/civil action.
Please advise how to overcome this situation.

In such a case you just reply their mail and request them to give some more time or to arrive at the most amicable settlement..

Always respond to their mails and notice if any. The bank may come with the final settlement offer where you can end up paying much lesser amount.
