Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I am a Sub Contractor and took civil work from main contractor. The main contractor should pay the amount to me for more than 5 Lakhs for my sub contract work to him. Before six months he expired. The other partners are his wife and mother in law. The available evidence for my sub contract work is only the day book and ledger. While asking the settlement of my dues the remaining partners simply refused to pay the dues and threaten me to complaint against me that I am trying to collect the amount through illegal way. Let me get the legal advice what can I do in this matter?
