Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

i am law college student now and pursuing 2year in LLB. 2years back i was doing business in chennai then i got loss in business and i used my credit card in business with value of 60000. due to business loss i am unable to pay my credit cards dues because i am unemployed now and i am student. now the bank sent me a notice for credit card dues to appear in local court but i am unable to appear the court as on date because i am pursuing my course in other state so unable to come and my mind is distrusted of this issues. could you guide me how to settle this issue? please concerns me i am a student. will a student get any relief from this issue?

you need to hire a lawyer and he would defend your case and seek mediation in the case and settle the matter on EMIs that can easily be afforded by you.

so far as law is concerned, there is no difference whether money is to be paid by a student of any other occupation. your best bet at this time is to engage a lawyer who would contest on your behalf in the court. You need not be present in the court. You concentrate on your studies. Meanwhile if you are ready, you may volunteer to pay at any time during the court proceedings.
