what are the legal consequences of not making a credit card payment. I owe an amount of 35000Rs and am not able to pay. the collection agency is behind me and they keep calling my office, my manager and my friends. Please advice. i asked them time for making the payment and they say its not possible. what action they can legally take?

They can only harass you by calling you at odd hours but not going to file any case as the amount is too meagre. The best way would be to pay the bank or settle it with the bank.
