If you donot pay then bank has right to recover the money from you or your surety by any means like sale of your property or attachment of your salary etc.

at the most, the bank will file a suit for recovery and once you get the summons, you may tell the court that you unable to pay the lump sum and the same should be accepted in instalmens and after talking to the bank, the court may be convinced by you.

Bank may file civil suit for recovery of dues. You may either put your stand at court or may ask the bank for settlement offering a reasonable amount. You may also get yourself declared as bankrupt.

As a customer you may enjoy the free credit facility provided you repay the dues in time. As a customer you do not have any right to gulp the public money.
