Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Sir,

I have taken some computers on lease for my institution on rent and have issued 22 cheques (post dated) to meet the monthly rentals and unfortunately i have to close my institution thats why i have returned the computers after two months and cleared all the dues. When i asked returned the cheques he said me that i will return it after one month. On the mean while one month passed he has not returned the cheques then i have issued a notice stating to return the cheques but instead of returning the cheques he has filled a case against me stating DISHONOUR OF CHEQUES in NI ACT 138. Please guide me what to do next.

Remained with a hope

What all you have to do is that appear before the court and show that there are no dues left on your part with the receiptrs and documents and also show the notice you served to that guy.
