Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I am a UK small limited company who provided a service to an India PTY. I have a signed contract agreeing terms. The invoices are now nearly 6 months overdue with clearly stated payment terms on them. What legal action should I take to get these invoices paid - they total over 12,000

You have not mentioned where in India, you need to engage a lawyer and preferably file a summary suit. If the Indian party is a limited liability company; you can also think of filing winding up petition.

Identify and and hire a lawyer.

Hi,

yes you should engage a lawyer in India and send him a legal notice first demanding the due amount. If they dont pay you then you must file recovery suit or a winding up petition in India.

I am sure you will get your money back.

You can send the copy of contract for us to peruse the same to understand the terms of payment and advise you.

Warm Regards
