Cheque Return

Dear Sir,

I am a trave agent,into booking airline tickets and package tours.I have this client of mine,who has no intentions of paying the money and making me to run for my money for the last six months.He has given me all the possible excuses in the world.Now i have a 2 cheques issued by him.1) Stop Payment done after asking me to present it.2)A cheque with signature mismatch.

How an I bring him to the court of Law?he is a corn and done these kind of shady things with others also.I want to see him behind bars???Pls suggest...

If your case is not fitting under Section 138 then u have two options , the case u/s 420 of IPC or file a civil suit . But in my opinion u may go for 138 even though such remarks are there

If six months of cheque has not expired then once again present the cheque for encashment and in case of return proceed against him u/s.138 N.I.Act.But if the sitauation is otherwise,then consult with all details and documents,professional charges are applicable.

You can file a criminal case as also a civil suit against him.
