Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
There is a person who i knew very well he took my dvd player from me atleast 3 months back
i requested him that he has to give it back to me after he uses it.But now he refuses to give it back to me and he is harrasing me as well as givig me threat calls and sms
i loadged a complaint against him in the local police station .But now they are saying that only after the court gives us permission then we can go and make a criminal investigation against him,the reason behind this is very simple that the accused is from another state and thats why the police have to get a court letter to go ahead .
The law is such ,but the emotional trauma is still not over he still keeps on troubling me i dont no what to do .

You say that you knew the person very well. Then how come he cheated you? Anyway, it is appropriate to file a Petition before Magistrate directing the police to complete investigation early.
Take appropriate remedy as advised.
