Respected Sir,

Is the Section 125 of CRPC is considerd as Criminal case or Civil case because one of my friend want to apply for Passport whether he requires any No Objection Certificate from concerned court to apply for passport?

proceedings under section 125 of CrPC by itself is not offence but one who makes default in the payment ordered under 125 is liable to pay such amount and may be required to undergo the distress warrant or attachment of properties . I suggest go for compromise if possible

Cr.P.C. is Code of Criminal Procedure. It is a guideline for all procedure in Criminal Cases where a person has been booked under the Indian Penal Code. Your friend can apply for a passport. No objection certificate is not required from concerned court to apply for passport. A police verification shall be done in that cases only for his address.

It is a criminal proceeding,hence,he has to take permission from court for going abroad.

It is not a case but a proceedings under the code of criminal procedure.

There is no procedure by which one can get any no objection certificate from any court.
