Your facts are not complete. However, on the basis of given facts, our opinion is as under:

In which form the private company wants to supply the drinking water, if it is on charity basis then there are no legal requirements. you can go ahead..

If the supply is on commercial basis then first of all this business shall be a included in the objects which are mentioned in the MOA of the private company. Further, if the supply is proposed to be on a large scale, then some other permissions and consents are required to be taken from local municipal, environment and water departments.
