In court marriage, both of you will be required to be present. The consent of your parents will also be required. Usual time of notice given by the court is one month.

Re: Court marriage

TO have Court marriage :

1) You have to give notice to the Marriage registerer, and then after in 30 days time, u shall be called for marriage at any place u wish on payment of money, along with three witnesses of ur. Whereby you will have to sign few forms and will be issues marriage certificate, and you shall become valid couple. But if within 30 days if any one picks objection on your marriage, then u have to undergo inquiries and trials.

2) other alternative remedy is that, if u both are hindus, then get married at a sacred place and get the memoremdum of marriage on stamp papers and present it to the sub registerer of your area, he will do the due procedure and issue duplicate memoremdum of marriage form with sign and seal, which shall be ur proof of marriage

You and the Girl to be married have to be present when you submit the application to the sub-registrar for registration it will take 30 days as waiting period, to see if there is any objection from anyone. if no objections are received then on 31st day you can appear before the sub-registrar both of you with 3 photos of each and you have to produce the address proof and age proof for verification plus two witness from both side to be present. after which the sub-registrar will solemnize the marriage. you have to appear at the jurisdiction of the address shown in your ration card or passpost or girls address.

Re: Court marriage

The Special Marriage Act provides for such a marriage, involving the parties and at least two witnesses. Obviously, both the parties to the marriage have to be present before the Registrar. A one month's notice is compulsorily required prior to the marriage. Contact any marriage registrar for details and assistance on procedures, including the notice.
