Filing of Misc. Civil Application for maintenance u/s 18 of hindu Adoption & Mai

R/Sir,

Can We file a Misc. Civil Application for maintenance u/s 18 of hindu Adoption & Maintenance Act, 1956 independent of any Main Petition. Are there any citations which say that to obtain maintenance u/s 18 of hindu Adoption & maintenance act, one has to compulsory file a civil suit only, Misc. civil application independent of any Main Petition is

The petition under section 18 of the Hindu maitenance Act is an independent proceeding and can be filed as such. It is not compulsory to file a civil suit to initiate a proceeding under this provision of law. For further clarification contact [email protected]
