hindu undivide family

our building is grand mother's property. out of her 11 children six sons are staying here occupying different areas. grand-mother had not made any will before her death.

I wish to know whether the flats will be equally divided or what are other possibilities of problems we can face while transferring the property on our name.

The property should be first got transferred jointly in the name of all the legal heirs.

However, partition is a different issue. It will depend upon nature of the property if it can be divided into 11 independent shares or not; if not, you may put value of the property and accordingly apportion shares of all share holders.
