My husband and I got married in the year 2003 in the state of Karnataka. I am planning to divorce my husband who is residing in Bangalore. After separation I have shifted from Bangalore to my parents place in Uttar Pradesh where I am living now with my parents and kid.
Wanted to know if I can file the case in Uttar Pradesh.

You can file Petition for divorce in Uttar Pradesh if you are residing there.

You may file divorce petition at any of the following places :
(a) Your place of Marriage; OR
(b) Where the parties last resided together OR
(c) Where the respondent is residing.
You may find your answer in the said legal situation. If any of the three situations happened in UP, you may file your petition there otherwise NOT.
