Legal Question in Family Law in India

I was married in church on Jan 2010. Me and my wife registered marriage was in Aug 2009, i did it only because i was going to go out of india for 6 month and until i return my company would do a visa for my wife. so when i get married in church i would take her along with me outside country.

initial 2-3 months of marrige were smooth. after few months time she started behaving insane. arguing with me for small small things and tell me why i dont look for a job in US or outside india. i tried my level best to convince her for the same. but it never helped as i dont have any idea what she used to talk to her sister who is in bombay and her parents all the time. also she used to insist on settling in bombay. this was just the beginning and arguments were going on and on because of which i could never concentrate in my work.

after a year of marriage we all family me my parents and her went to her native place for cousin marriage. there also we all stayed in hotel but she stayed with her parents and never wanted to stay with me in hotel which anyways i agreed. after marriage reception there was a dispute bewttn me and her which agitated me and i just caught her hand and was taking her to hotel.. her father along with some 10-15 people came to hotel and took her with him and went to police station. she said i slapped her and what all non sense i dont know. police came to hotel and took me with my parents to police station and on plain white paper wrote the whole story including i slapped her and that too i was drunk. there were no drinks in reception at all but forcefully they wrote it all and took my and my parents signature. with no other choice we had to sign it as i never wanted to stuck over there in their native place and i wanted to come back home. it was basically under lot of pressure i had to sign it.

after returning back from her native place i tried to call her for next 2-3 months and tried to sort this matter but it was of no use. now she is away and staying in bombay and working and we are not together since last 7 months. our marriage was for a year.

i need advise what has to be done. i really want to get out of this matter as soon as possible because its what i think every day and its like a mental torture for me. filing RCR will take matter to court which will make this period for 2 years minimum. filing divorce directly wont help as well.

Please give me any advise which you have which will helop me in sorting this. he father is asking for money and one time settlement. but its too much for me as well.
