legal information
i was informed today that within 10 days i will receive a divorce notice
i and my wife mutually agreed to take a housing loan. for one and half year she repaid the loan and then denied to pay. But after i fully settled the bank loan (prepayment)
The loan was for 15 lakhs and she paid only rs.75000. today she politely asked me the bank statements from me(every documents are with me) I wonder why they want this and what is its importance.

You have joined the divorce notice with housing loan by a conjunction - AND.
If the loan was joint, why was she ALONE made to repay for 18 months?
This might have constituted "economic violence" by you against her. Your prepayment of the loan does not absolve you from the offences you committed against her for 18 months.
You need some introspection about your conduct. Please write me again with a clear mind giving full facts.

Please restate facts specifying that whether the housing loan and the house was in joint name of you and your wife .
