Legal Question in Family Law in India

How long does it take to get divorced in India? What's the quick and best way? When is the new "irretrievable breakdown" clause going to be applicable?

If one spouse doesn't agree to the divorce then what are the options? The marriage is long broken emotionally and there's no point in continuing.

If the spouse who wants divorce lives with another person who he/she intends to marry during the separation, will this create problems? Is adultery going to come into picture and is that a criminal offense?

Why is divorce made so difficult in India? If there's no emotional/physical connection and there is no point in continuing there should be an easy way out.
