What is the process of sending divorce summons to a husband who is an NRI and married here in India. His wife is in India and he derserted her after marriage. Will the summons go through embassy or PFI or can be send directly to him. And if he does not correspond to the summons what is the next step according to Hindu Marriage Act. What is the process the court adopts in India for sending summons abroad. Kindly advise

The Court sends summons to the person which has been provided in the Divorce Petition.
Now the question arises if he does not respond. in that case you can try to get the summons served upon him through Embassy people, but that has to be sent through Court only. Further if he do not respond publication in the news paper published in the paper where your husband resides is to be done.
