Legal Question in Family Law in India

Registration of will

sub-registrar says that for different properties i.e. for each & every immovable property a different will is to be executed in delhi while in the other states a single will may be executed for all the properties. Under what law one has to execute a separate will for each and every property; if I have 15 properties, how it is possible for me to go for 15 times to get 15 will executed with different sub-registrars in delhi. There are about 9-10 sub-registrars in delhi. I think a single will can be got registered with the sub-registrar where one resides. Kindly explain.

Re: Registration of will

A single will can be executed and got registered by anyone in the entire country at any place irrespective of his place of residing. In law, the sub registrar cannot refuse to register a will. You should approach higher authorities if the sub-registrar refuses to register your will.
