Legal Question in Family Law in India

i secretly married my maternal first cousin(my maasis daughter) 2years back. i am a north indian(garhwali-rajput). we dont belong to the same gotra. we married & got all the formalities done at the arya samaj mandir in mumbai. i wanted to know if according to the hindu marriage act,1955 my marriage to my first cousin is not legal & void? if it is not than than whats the solution to the problem? would appreciate a solution for the same as we are planning to tell our families regarding our marriage. i raised this question few days back to which i got confusing answers like some said the marriage is void & others said its not as we dont come from the same gotra.

Only Sa-Gotra marriages are void as per Hindu law. You do not fall within the prohibited degrees, degrees are calculated from paternal side and not maternal side. Masi - is maternal side.

One of the Attorney Generals' daughter also got married to he masis son. I would not name the person.
