Legal Question in Family Law in India

Separation from parents

Hi!

I want to seek legal separation from my parents. Though I understand that once I become legally adult after 18, which I am, I am independent but still there are some areas where fathers's name has to be necessarily used. This would include things like necessary mention of parents name in the passport, driving license, university and other forms. I want to seek advice as to if there is any legal procedure for seeking formal separation from parents so that I may not be forced to use their name anywhere.

Sincerely,

Re: Separation from parents

There is no legal seperation from parents in relationship. The relationship is a natural one and cannot be commuted. It is also not possible to avoid your father's name or mother's name as theses are statutory requirements and has to be used. But you can legally get seperated from properties and other non personal matter.
