sir how much time it require by crime against women cell to convert complaint into fir from tha date of complaint?. normally i heard it takes 6 months to 1 yr for settlement between husband and wife . only then it convert into fir. is it true.as this is told me by my advocate.

Its not true. You can force the enquiry officer to convert the complaint as you are not interested in compromise. Before filing the complaint before the crime against women ,send me a draft so that i can correct it to put all the ingredients for a FIR u/s 498a ,406 etc.
generally it takes so much of time enabling the Crime Against Women cell to send the complaint to local police station for lodging an FIR. it is the responsibility of CAW cell to see whether all the possibilities of an amicable settlement have been worked out or not. you need to have patience and the f.i.r. would be lodged once the right time comes.
