Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

We appointed a lawyer to file case and stay order to stop sale of ancestral homse five years back till now the lawyer not action any action. He always says some excuse court holiday he has no time. I come know that opposition party paid lum sum money to my lawyer. What to do & what kind of action I can take.

File a complaint against your lawyer before the bar council of your state. This would get you the relevant relief you are looking for.

you need to have a proof that he was retained by you and the other party paid him for this particular purpose. filing a complaint before the bar council without having relevant proofs would be in vain and end up in multiplicity of litigation.

Dear Sir,

You can lodge a complaint in Bar Association or, State Bar Council & if you have the proof you can also lodge a complaint at Consumer Forum or, State Consumer Forum. Otherwise with sufficient proofs you can also approach the Magistrate Court thro' complaint.
