Defamation

My landlady intention was to get us vaccated within a month of our occupying her premises. As we did not violate any of the agreement conditions she took recourse to sending us a legal note falsely accusing us of violating the clauses. She also alleged that my husband had commited an obscene act with her 24-year old daughter.I want to sue her for defamation as my husband is a person of repute. Kindly advise.

I am doubtful about offence of defamation as a case under IPC for defamation would be difficult to prove . instead you may go for malicious prosecution and other applicable offences

If you can prove in any way in the Court that your husband has been defamed contact a local lawyer and proceed.
