Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India
I was enlisted candidate of an employment exchange in west bengal. suddenly I got a call from the exchange and after taking typing test they gave me a change to be appeared at the examination for recruitment of Lower division clerk in a University.
I passed the written examination and interview taken by the said university and got employment. suddenly some person filed a suit at Kolkata High court stating the reason that the appointment is illegal as there was no public announcement in any news paper. I am waiting for the hearing.
Please note that in my appointment letter the following line is written:
"your appointment is subjected to High Court verdict vide writ petition No....."
please let me know whether an appointment through employment exchange, a completely govt. organisation, is illegal or legal.

It is legal, but for any govt appointment publication is must but it is exempted in some cases, you have to defend the case propely else you will lose ur job. you may also contect ur department and the employement exchange and ask the reason for non publication of the post.
