Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

My father has sold a ancestral agricultural property 19 years back, at that time I was 9yrs old.

My sisters were also minors. Now all the three have attained majority. The property is transfered to

my father's cousin and my father has executed sale deed in their favour. Can myself and my sisters

stake a claim in the property? If it is possible, then how? If not why?

The possibility of challenge will depend upon several factors which have not been enumerated in your statement. The matter needs to be closely examined by perusing the sale deed and after understanding situation of the vendor prevailing at the relevant time. You may want to contact a lawyer for pursuing your remedy, if any.

Dear Sir, Madam

Presuming that you belonged to hindu family, that you are time bound limitation as of limitation act 1963 is 12 years in case of ancestral property claims. when you attained the actual majority age of 18 years, and apply same with your sisters, Ok? If any of you just arrived at 18 years by now can sue for the ancestral property, Ok ?

Thank You,

Kind Regards. Sanjay K. Dixit, Advocate,
