Legal Question in Immigration Law in India

In want to travel to India on a tourist visa for 2 weeks. Will they check my criminal record? In 1989 I was arrested for theft which was a felony and prostitution which is a misdemnor. I have never been arrested after that. I am a u.s.a. citizen. I also have Irish citizenship and was never arrested in Ireland.

As the criminal case pertains to the year 1989 and you were not convicted of the offence, traveling to India may not pose any problem. You may visit my website www.karvai.in to read more on Indian laws.
