Transfer of property at chennai
I would like to state that my father owned an propety at madras with MMDA and he deid.He had prepared WILL in favour of his SON & WIFE.Ihad approach MMDA to transfer the land in WIFE name but they deamand Legal Heir Certificate.Since I am residing at MUMBAI and when approach with Tehsidhar for this certicate,he replied to approach city civil or high court.The land will not transfer unless I donot produce this certificate.Request you to kindly provide detail which certificate is to obtained and from where.Also any legal advisor to be approched for obtain of this cert.in minimum period.

You may need to seek "probate" of the will from the local District Courts.

engage a lawyer where the property is situated and he will get the document for you
