Re: Family law , child support & international law

in India the amount u have to pay usually 1/2 of your income for child support, but that varies from state to state depending upon the various High Court orders passed at different points of times even some times more than the limit provided by the statute under the discretionary power, your income shall be assessed from your income tax return or otherwise shall be settled according to your occupation reasonably, even some times the maintenenace you pay may be 2/3rd of your gross income according to the latest Calcutta High Court order, but before deciding the amount to be paid for support lot o9f facts has to be considered such as your income, the income of your spouse, standard of living to which your wife and your children were habituated present standard of living of yourselves etc. but remember lot of other factors are there for final settlement of these issues, I just mentioned to you the very basics.
