Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I had left a company without relieving, as my current employer wanted to join by a date which pushed me not to serve notice period. I resigned and got resignation acceptance as well but date again was beyond joining date of new company. I offered to pay notice period but even that was not entertained by the company. Now after fiver years, when my background information check is done, company always provides the information that I left the company without paying the dues. I sent many emails to company that I agree to pay all dues and want my relieving letter. But they are not responding & communicating which seems denial of relieving. This is has caused me strong mental trauma & loss at new job oppurtunities side. Even my current employer has deducted that experience from my total experience.

I want to file a case against mental harrassment & denial of relieving. Can it be done?

yes, you may approach a lawyer and he would do the needful. a legal notice may be sent to the company and upon their refusal, a civil suit may be filed and the offence of defamation is also made out.
