Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I was working with a firm where at the time of appointment my appointment letter had a condition according to which at the time of resignation i was suppose to pay either one month salary or serve a notice period of one month..later on, they included a bond according to which at the time of resignation i was suppose to pay six month's salary. Now when i have resigned and am agreeing to pay six months salary as per the bond, the firm is asking me to pay six month's salary plus one month salary as stated in my appointment letter. So can there be two contracts at the same time..guide me in this matter.
