Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

Bombay rent act

We are residing in a tenanted premises alongwith other 15 family members in south Mumbai since more 70 years and the premises belongs to a Parsi Trust (building consisting of one storey structure) and initially premises was a garage which was not used by the occupiers (Landlord) and the heir of original first tenant had permitted our grandfather (Sub-tenant) (somewher in 2005) in the year in wrting to my grandfather being a sub-tenant to use the garage as a residential premises. Now we have received a legal notice from the trustees (landlord) for eviction. I want to know as to whether the said landlords can evict us from our premsies on the ground of user or conversion of garage into residence? Whether we have any recourse against that ? Whether we can be protected by this action of trust? As we have been living since many years as aforesaid in the said premises. I want to know whether we are also entitlted to get an alternate accomodation if we approach the Court of Law? Whether under the Bombay Rents Act we are entitlted to get any relief? Please guide me in that regard at the earliest. Thanking you.
