Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

Tenanted property

My father is law had tenanted property mean's pagadi one. It goes this way..

I have been married for 18 years. My father in Law (FIL)was a tenant in R.NO. 14 & my husband is in R.No. 13. My FIL expired in 2000 leaving his wife, son & his family behind. We are joint family and cooked jointly, except when my mother in law (MIL) closed the intervening door 4 years back, of the 2 rooms after creating a fight so as to sell the FILs house.(she is used to selling things to give her daughter). The property is not transferred in her name. I filed a case against my husband & MIL and fought for it as a joint house, which got a stay and the matter is for evidence. Now my MIL is bedridden and her daughter has come to look after her though financial & other needs are provided by my husband. I want to stop the court matter after I came to know we will get only one flat once it goes for redevelopment and due to tension and my son who is in 10th now. I want to know the status of the R.No. 14, in case I withdraw the case, as my sister is law has come to help her. Are they entitled for the right

Re: Tenanted property

in the court papers u have shown ur possession in the said flat and the name of your sis in law is not mentioned then it will be presumed by the court that the sis in law never stayed at the said flat and she is just a visitor during the sickness of the mil and so u have a chance to get the flat in your husband name and u will remaiin as a co tenant u should consult ur lawyer and get updated at this issue so more information u may log on to www.angelfire.com/folk/indianlaws or mail at [email protected]
