Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in India

good morning.we actually are in really big trouble.we have a land which we are about to sell.. we have not got any loan or anything on it.but one of my mom's old classmate has put a notice on her saying she has to give 15 lakhs to someone who is not even known by us and has forgered my mom's signature.he has sent a lawer notice saying we are supposed to stop selling the land till we are supposed to pay that money back.till date my mom never borrowed money from anyone for any cause.how to deal with him?it has really ruined my moms reputation.

you must respond to the legal notice and file a criminal case against the person who has sent the notice.

yes . in that case u can file a criminal case but first reply the notice .
