All lawyers are registered with the Bar Association of a City and Bar Council of the State in which they practice. The conduct of the lawyers is governed by the Advocates Act of 1961. Bar Council of India takes disciplinary actions against lawyers. You can file a complaint with the State Bar Council or with the Bar Council of India, with the name, office address and enrolment number of the concerned lawyer.
