Legal Question in Personal Injury in India

My ex-bf has been harassing me and my family with incessant obscene smses and calls, he is threatening to post my pics on some indian pornographic site and asking for whatever money he spent on me, i dont earn and he says my family should pay up, whatever he spent was out his own free will, theres no written agreement that i have to pay him anything. he says once i give him the money he will leave me alone for ever. he is jobless for more than a year. i am currently studying and he threatens to come to my college and talks to all my batchmates. he is even contacting my friends and harassing them. he knows everything abt me and my family n is using that information to blackmail me. i dont want to approach the police for many reasons, have changed the mobile numbers of all in the family, he doesnt stay in my city but he says he will come down and wont spare me. How can i handle him, is there a counsellor or a ngo or a lawyer who can guide me. i am going crazy with fear and my family is hurt and angry. i want to save them from further embrassment and humiliation. i left him when i discovered that he was having multiple affairs and saw the pics n chats of other women in his laptop n mobile.

He is married and i learnt later that he has relationships with many other women, by promising them marriage and portraying his wife as mad.

What should i do? he has threatened to destroy me and my family.

You may tell him on his face that you intend taking LEGAL ACTION by approaching the local police. Actually, you may approach the police and lodge an FIR against him, if you find that he is not staying away from you despite your threatened legal action.
