Legal Question in Personal Injury in India

I owned a residential plot since more than 20 years back as well as we build our house at the same time around 1991 and unknowingly it was 5-6inc inside the neighbors plot which was completely empty I mean just filled with grass and no construction till 6 months back now the neighbors has started construction on there plot and has started encroaching in side our existing construction also they crossed our boundary wall in air as well as placed there front gate pillar just in front of our main gate pillar also they destroy our existing construction at few places. We asked him to do not do these things but they said that I have registry for the same and its my land.
All this causing deep mental stress to my self and my family as well as our house is getting damaged.
Can anyone suggest me what should I do to stop all this?
