Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
In a 15 storey modern building (age < 5 years) with 2 lifts, is it mandatory for the Society to ensure power back-up for at least 1 of the lifts? What are the legal consequences if this is not done despite collecting money from each resident for buying a generator? The building is in Navi Mumbai and has an elected Society.

the society is liable and the complaint may be made to the registrar societies in this regard.
