Legal Question in Real Estate Law in

We are hindu ,my father in law does not suppotrs his family financially and probably has relation with other women,he left his family five years back and ows a petrolpump that is in name of his father.My mother in law currently lives in a rent house and has no means of income or financia support from her husband.What right do my husband or mother in law has over property as they are not divorced

your mother in law certainly can claim maintainance for herself including the amount of monthly rent from her husband who is living seperately. Mother in law may also seek compensation for her health, health insurance etc. Secondly, if property of father in law, including the petrol pump is self acquired, no one including your husband / your mother in law can claim share in the property. If property is ancestral, either your husband or your mother in law can claim share in the property also.
