Operation of Bank Account

Is the Secretary of a co-op. society signature mandatory on cheques followed by any other office bearer, OR any 2 office bearers can sign cheques.

Secretary's sign is mandatory on the cheques issued by the Society.

Depends on the Bye-Laws and/or the Resolution in that behalf.

The cheque operation is decided by

(a) the bye-laws; or

(b) General Body; or

(c) Managing Committee

The bank will accept signatures of "authorized signatories" in terms of decision of the Society taking in accordance with law.
