Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Sir. i want to know:

if lower (trial) court feels that there is a "contempt of court" in a civil case then what type of minimum or maximum punishment can be given by court? can this punishment be challenge in upper (session) court?

In a recent judgment of Delhi High court, it has been decided that the trial court has no power to inititate the contempt. therefore there is no question of punishment by the trial court
