Stamp Duty under Amnexty scheme for Mumbai

My Father has purchased flat in 1970 at the cost of Rs 65000/- in Mumbai. At the time of purchased there was not agreement as our society has acted as builder and given the contruction cost to the Contractor who has contructed the building, after that the soiclety has issued the Share Certificate in each occupant and after my father expired it has been transfered on my Mothers name with share certificate transfer.

Please advise us that now as explain above do we have to go for the stamp duty under amnexty stamp duty which is currently on in Mumbai and pay the stamp duty. if yes what is the procedure.

You do not need to do anything since you are owner in possession.

however, if you considering sale of the property and needs registeration, you should contact the local authorities of your area.
