You have to get the death certificate of your father and legal heir certificate issued by the RDO/Tehsil and if any documentary evidence like,Ration card,Driving license,Passport, etc.which proves that you are the son of the deceased then Bank authorities would not have any objection is withdrawing the money. There are no big formalities as such like affidavits, succession certificate, etc.Don't worry in case of more help contact me.

Re: Fixed Deposit without nominee

All the legal heirs may request the bank for withdrawl of the money by making a joint application alongwith (a) death certificate of the deceased; (b) affidavits/proofs of legal heirs of the deceased; and (c) idemnity bonds.

The bank may, on receipt of your application, advise you about further formalities, if any, to be completed as per Bank rules.
