Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

Sir,

I have obtained Letter of Administration of my mother's WILL. There was no executor mentioned in the Will. Does the Letter of Administration which I obtained from the High court give the society the authority to add my name in its records & in the share certificate ?? And what is the difference between Letter of Administration and Probate ??
