Buyers determine non compete clause

When I sold my catering and banquet facilty there was a non compete signed. The phrase was I could not open a business similar to or in competion to the business sold. The buyers say I cannot go into any food business. I say no catering or banquet facilty. Do they get to determine the non compete?

Re: Buyers determine non compete clause

You need to have an attorney review the entire contract. No attorney will give you an opinion based on reading one clause that you provide over the internet.
