Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana

Hello,

I traded in my truck yesterday and when I got home, my girlfriends father found damage on the top of the truck. I spoke with the dealer and they are being very unprofessional about the whole situation. They want me to pay for all the materials, drive 3 hours to drop it off for a couple days and drive 3 more hours to pick it up. i told them I wanted my old truck back, but they said that is not an option due to legal issues. Is this true or do I have any ground to stand on? Thanks!!!

There are a number of possible issues here. First of all, if you had a chance to inspect the truck and/or purchased it "as is", you may not have recourse. If they do owe for the repair, they have to be given the opportunity to remedy the situation. Only if they do not do right by you would you have the possible option of demanding a refund and return of your original truck. But this all has to be done properly and correctly, so have an attorney help you---don't try to be a do-it-youselfer.
