Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana

Non Disclosure

I have a past employer who is threatening to sue me for disclosing pricing information. I am a certified Wastewater operator and I approache a past client to hire me directly. I new he was currently paying $425/month and offered to do it for less. My past employer said the I was not supposed to know what the client was currently being charged because the employee manual, that I signed an form stating I understood it, said release of company financial information was not allowed. My past position required me to write the contract that was for $425/month and I believe the fee the the client is being charged is not confidential to them since the now what they are being charge. I do have a memory. I never signed a non disclosure or non compete contract.

You may have a problem of a different sort: this does sound like a trade secrets problem. Good point about memorizing, there is an Ohio case about this but none from Indiana. (I have an article here on this case: http://haslerlaw.blogspot.com/2008/02/does-memorizing-list-equal-stealing.html). I think you should expect to see a lawsuit in your future and plan accordingly.
